FabBond® - Bonded Embroidered Appliques on Winter Jackets

This week, we received a special project from one of our neighbors involving embroidered appliques and winter jackets. FabBond® is the layered bonding of two or more layers of materials. The appliques must be hot sealed on the outside of the jackets with care to ensure that nothing happens to the fabric. In order for the appliques to be placed on the jackets they have to be positioned in the correct place and care must be taken to ensure that they are perfectly aligned and hot sealed. We designed and developed templates for all three sizes of the jackets (small, medium, and large) so that the appliques are places in the same spot on every jacket maintaining consistency. The appliques are welded on the jacket around 400 degree Fahrenheit under high pressure of 80 PSI. It was very important to treat everything with care throughout the process to avoid fabric discoloration and it burning. The best part is that the appliques on the jackets can sustain multiple washes providing great quality.
